Because, honestly? Mary Calmes just does it for me. I'll be honest, I didn't originally love this story as much as the first two in the story, but I practically squealed over it while listening. The audio made me love the book so much more. Jeff Gelder's narration pushed me to loving this despite the violence, so. I didn't enjoy reading this so much as listening to it mainly because while the other two in the series were at times brutal this installment has brutal moments and then veers over to downright fucking VIOLENT. I cannot stress this enough - THIS IS NOT A STANDARD FLUFFY ROMANCE - these shifter stories have bite. Meags, I'm grateful I had you to be indignant, angry and swoony with! I see no reason to take a breather for the next installment, especially with an ending like that!! Talk about a game changer!
